The Creative Bike Project explores how a bike can be used as a facilitator for social and creative practice, connecting young people with a tool for creative self expression and self realisation.

 

The bikes are designed to begin as a blank canvas. A bike can say so much about a child, the colours and shapes for example, but we shouldn’t force people into stereotypes. If a bike tells the story of a user, it should be their own story. The project allows users to express through an object that is traditionally associated with childhood. In doing so, this allows to exhibit who they truly are.
